Joe Rubinstein m’a fait pleurer ce matin en postant cette planche sur Facebook. Cet “annual” avec Spiderman, la Chose, les Vengeurs, Warlock et Thanos fut le premier comics américains que j’ai possédé. Il avait été publié en grand format en France par Lug sous le titre “Au secours des Vengeurs”. Tout était si beau. J’étais âgé de 10 ans, et je l’ai lu et relu, observé et ré-observé tant de fois ! Ce livre a une place très spéciale dans ma vie. Il est l’un des rares qui ont fait de moi l’auteur et le dessinateur de bandes dessinées que je suis maintenant. Il est tellement important que j’en ai déjà parlé dans des interviews et des livres. Un milliard de mercis à Jim Starlin et Joe Rubinstein !
[ENGLISH] Joe Rubinstein made me cry this morning when he published this page on Facebook. This annual with Spiderman, the Thing, the Avengers, Warlock and Thanos was the first US comics I had. It was published in large size in France, and all looked so beautiful. I was 10 year old, and I have read it and read it again, observed and observed again so many time ! This book has a very special place in my life. It is one of the rare that have made me the comics artist and writer I’m now. It is so important that I have spoken of it in some interviews and books.
